History and Tradition of Successful Collaboration
For years, IPBS has advocated the vital importance of statewide cooperation among public broadcast stations regardless of licensee type, market or budget size. In the tradition of many statewide educational and cultural resources, IPBS member stations have collaboratively pursued opportunities for state funding. However, IPBS’ collective efforts extend well beyond a singular initiative – instead, yielding more than half-a-dozen coordinated objectives that include:

CPB Support
As IPBS stations are poised to cross a promising new threshold of development the economic downturn underscores the value of statewide interdependence, joint planning and investment.

CPB has supported that concept with a grant to four small market Indiana TV stations: WFWA, Fort Wayne, WNIT, Elkhart/South Bend; WVUT, Vincennes and WNIN, Evansville. The grant is intended to further collaboration among all IPBS members to achieve the following statewide initiatives:
